The Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and
Occupational Health, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University,
invites applications for a position as an Assistant Professor of
Epidemiology [Tenure Track].
Candidates must have a doctorate in epidemiology or
an equivalent degree. Necessary qualifications for the position
include evidence of research productivity (peer-reviewed
publications) and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching.
The successful candidate will have potential or proven ability to
develop an internationally recognized research program in
Epidemiology, to obtain grants for their own research and to
contribute to the building of successful research projects and
programs in public and population health, in health services and
policy, or in clinical research. Although we encourage
applications from candidates with research interests from any
substantive area, we are particularly interested in recruiting a
candidate with strong epidemiological expertise who can contribute
to teaching advanced methods classes.
Faculty members are responsible for conducting a
strong research program and for supervising graduate students at
both the MSc and PhD level. The candidate will be expected to
teach students in the Master’s and PhD programs in Epidemiology as
well as the Master's in Public Health program. Salary is
commensurate with qualifications and experience.
