University of Hawaii Cancer Center opened
the search for a tenure-track faculty position (Assistant or
Associate Professor) in the Cancer Epidemiology component of
the Population Sciences of the Pacific Program. We encourage
candidates with experience across the spectrum of cancer
epidemiology research, from etiological studies to
intervention trials. Areas of research in environmental
sciences, immunology, geospatial information sciences,
molecular carcinogenesis, bioinformatics/biostatistics, diet,
physical activity, life course, survivorship, molecular,
genetic, pharmacogenetic or clinical epidemiology are
desirable. Successful candidates will have demonstrated
research excellence with peer-reviewed publications and a
track record for independent cancer-related peer-reviewed
funding. Additional desirable qualities include experience
conducting transdisciplinary, cancer disparities or
cancer-related epidemiological research among Asian/Pacific
Islander populations. Applicants must have a PhD or MD with
direct training and experience in epidemiological studies.
The successful candidate will join a diverse team of
researchers devoted to conducting high-quality research in
cancer epidemiology.
