Minimum salary for Chair: £74,650 p.a.
Clinical Consultants (Senior Lecturer,
Reader or Chair) – salary depending on seniority: £76,761 –
£103,490 p.a. plus London Allowance £2,162

environmental data, and a strong statistical/computational

approaches to analyse multi-dimensional datasets in order to
understand etiological pathways in relation to cardiometabolic
and other non-communicable disease traits? If so, this

We are interested to hear from outstanding clinical
academics/academics for the post of Senior Lecturer, Reader or
Chair in Epidemiology (clinical or non-clinical) within the
Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics in the
School of Public Health at
Imperial College London. This is an excellent opportunity
for you to join a vibrant and successful research department
with a strong tradition of epidemiological and biostatistical
research, and
world-leading epidemiological resources with
intense phenotyping on cardiometabolic traits and rich data on
genetic, metabolomic and other omics data
outstanding cohort and
computing resources.
As an
exceptional clinical academic/academic with expertise in
epidemiology, you will have the vision and drive to build on
current strengths in maintaining and developing a leading
research presence, a national and developing an international
(for Chair candidates, a strong and established international)
reputation and a well-attested record of excellent research in
the field. You will have a proven
track record of grant awards and publications
in non-communicable disease
epidemiology with a focus on:

environmental
·
genetic
·
metabolic and molecular risk factors.
You will be based at the St Mary’s campus, Paddington, as part
of the
MRC-PHE Centre on Environment and Health hosted by the
School. You will be expected to develop/lead an
internationally excellent research programme in epidemiology.
To excel in
this role, you must have a higher degree in a relevant
research area (MD, MS, PhD or equivalent); experience of
training undergraduate and postgraduate students; experience
of supervision of higher degrees (PhD, MD(Res)) and junior
academic and research staff. Evidence of management and
administration experience would be desirable.
Clinical applicants should have
appropriate specialist qualifications such as MFPH, MRCGP,
MRCP or European equivalent.
