The Department of Epidemiology, Graduate School of Public
Health, University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a
full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant
Professor. This position is available immediately and requires
a doctoral degree in the epidemiology of aging and training
and experience in the epidemiologic study of aging in large
cohorts. The successful candidate will be responsible for
developing research relevant to study the epidemiology of
muscle aging and disability. The individual will submit
independent research grants, publish manuscripts and
participate in epidemiologic studies of aging.
Responsibilities may include staff training and supervision,
and data collection, management, and analysis and publication
for multiple projects. The successful candidate will also
contribute to teaching within the epidemiology of aging
program. This position is outside of the tenure stream and is
funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
