The Sidney Kimmel Cancer
Center at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania is actively recruiting senior faculty at the
Associate and Professor levels for our Program in Cancer Risk
and Control. We are seeking independent investigators (MD,
PhD, or MD, PhD) with expertise in identifying multi-level
factors that increase cancer risk (including genetic,
epigenetic, and environmental factors) and disparities along
the entire cancer continuum; developing interventions to alter
cancer risk and impact outcomes for patients, populations, and
communities; and translating effective methods for risk
assessment and intervention into practice. Investigators
dedicated to improving the quality of cancer care for diverse
populations through research are encouraged to apply.
Independent investigators (MD, PhD, ScD) with expertise in
molecular/genetic cancer epidemiology, especially those with
an established track record of successful NIH grant funding
are encouraged to apply. Leadership opportunities are
available for exceptional candidates.
The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center is an
NCI-designated consortium cancer center that includes
researchers from Thomas Jefferson University, Drexel
University, and Lankenau Institute for Medical Research. We
promote interactions among basic, clinical, and population
scientists in the conduct of research in basic, clinical and
cancer prevention and control science. Multi-disciplinary and
multi-institutional team science are strongly encouraged and
supported. Recruited faculty will be supported by generous
start-up funds, a competitive salary, and modern facilities,
along with administrative and infrastructure services.
Successful candidates will also have opportunities to teach
and mentor medical students, postdoctoral fellows, and
population health graduate students.
