At North Shore-LIJ, transforming care begins with empowering you to go as far as your talent and ambition can take you. We are seeking an experienced researcher to participate in World Trade Center responders’ health study funded by NIOSH for 2 years from September, 2012. The study will include longitudinal medical screening data of over 25,000 WTC responders and perform epidemiologic and health surveillance studies.

This individual will coordinate the project and perform epidemiologic research. Position responsibilities including coordinating with collaborators for data preparation and share, conducting descriptive data analysis, preparing technical reports and peer-reviewed manuscripts, and assisting principle investigator. Strong oral and written communication skills and analytic skills; the ability to initiate, manage, and direct multiple tasks and projects are essential.

This position will be located in Great Neck, NY

A Master’s degree in epidemiology, occupational health, public health and a minimum of 3 years of experience in epidemiologic research along with a strong project management background are required.  Experience with SAS and/or Stata, Crystal reports, and surveys are required.
