undergraduate minors. Specializations within the
college include biostatistics, environmental health
sciences, epidemiology, health behavior and health
promotion, health services management and policy,
veterinary public health, biomedical informatics, and
clinical and translational science, and population
health management and leadership.
Division Information
The Division of Epidemiology studies the distribution,
frequency and causes of diseases and other health
conditions. We advocate for the health and well-being
of all people. Our work examines the role and patterns
of the social determinants of health and their
intrinsic ties to health outcomes. Faculty have
expertise in teaching, training and mentoring the next
generation of epidemiologists to describe the health
status of human populations, identify risk factors for
disease and other health-related conditions, and
develop and test novel prevention and control
interventions and programs.
