Requirements:
PhD in Epidemiology or related field. Experience in chronic
disease or aging epidemiology beneficial but not required.
Job Announcement: The EpiSense
Research Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is
recruiting for 1-2 postdoctoral positions. The main interest
of the EpiSense program lies at the interface of cognitive,
sensory and vascular aging in order to identify common risk
factors for these conditions of aging and pathways for
prevention. The EpiSense Program has conducted two large
longitudinal cohort studies with follow-up visits every five
years and 10 or 20 years of follow-up. Data include cognitive
test batteries; vision, hearing, olfaction and taste measures;
blood pressure, carotid artery IMT and pulse wave velocity
measures; and biomarkers. The candidate will be part of a team
that includes the principal investigator, epidemiologists and
statisticians. Specific duties will include analyzing data and
writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and additional
duties as requested by the principal investigator. Each post
doc will have the opportunity to first author 2-3 papers per
year and submit abstracts to appropriate conferences. The
candidate must be able to work collaboratively and
independently and have excellent communication skills. To
