POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

IN SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH DISPARITIES RESEARCH

Job Announcement

We are seeking a qualified and highly motivated individual who would like to complete a postdoctoral research fellowship. The research focus will be on the study of sexual orientation-related reproductive health disparities primarily using data from the Harvard longitudinal cohort studies (i.e., Nurses’ Health Study, Growing Up Today Study). Secondary research foci can include contraceptives and sexual orientation-related cancer disparities. The fellow will be responsible for research activities such as developing analysis proposals, conducting data analysis, and writing manuscripts. In addition, the fellow will participate in grant writing and the development of new projects and may carry out related analyses using data from other studies. It is expected that the fellow will apply for additional funding during the fellowship. The length of the fellowship will last a minimum of one year and, depending on funding, may be renewed thereafter.

The fellow will be based in the Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital with a Harvard Medical School appointment. The fellow will join a stimulating, interdisciplinary research environment with the opportunity to attend seminars, colloquia, and other regularly scheduled research activities at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and partner institutions.

Applications are actively encouraged from women and members of historically underrepresented groups.
