Center for Pharmacy Innovation
and Outcomes
Geisinger Health System is seeking
qualified applicants for a faculty position in the Center for
Pharmacy Innovation and Outcomes (CPIO).
The mission of the CPIO is to conduct,
implement and disseminate research to optimize medication use.
The CPIO's research is population health with focus on the
areas of value in healthcare and personalized medicine, which
encompasses clinical trials, preventative medicine, pharmacy
care, medication adherence, specialty medications, applied
pharmacogenomics, polypharmacy, sustainable healthcare
delivery, and care pathways.
Investigators in the CPIO will work
closely with experts within Geisinger System's Enterprise
Pharmacy and other clinical and administrative enterprises
across the system to develop transformational research in one
or more programmatic areas along with colleagues in
Geisinger's other research cores including the Department of
Molecular and Functional Genomics, the Genomic Medicine
Institute, the Department of Bioinformatics and Data Science
and the Department of Epidemiology and Health Services
Research.
Faculty at all levels are encouraged to
apply. Qualified applicants will have a record of innovative
research in an area that can advance the mission of the
Center. Applicants for associate professor or professor
positions must have a history of extramural research funding.
