Job description
The Executive Board of Erasmus MC is looking for or a Professor of Epidemiology/ Head of Department for the Department of Epidemiology at Erasmus MC. As a successful candidate, you will hold the final responsibility for the organizational, financial and research policy of this department. In a stimulating and unifying manner, you will provide integral leadership to this department based on Koers ‘18, the current fiveyear strategic plan of Erasmus MC, and based on the leadership vision that applies to Erasmus MC. As Professor/ Head of Department, you will continue to build a vision of epidemiology for Erasmus MC. You will seek possibilities to continuously optimize the department and you will be the driving force behind new developments.

Qualifications and skills
Erasmus MC is looking for an Epidemiologist (PhD) with an excellent national and international reputation in this field. As a successful candidate you rely on a broad scientific basis, and have extensive experience in research and education at a demonstrably excellent level. Furthermore, you have a good sense of administrative relationships and engange in new developments. In this leadership role, excellent management skills are essential.

You are a unifying leader, both within and outside the department, and are focused on cooperation with affinity for a professional approach. Due to your ability to build bridges and to create the right conditions, you also know how to strengthen and deepen cooperation within and outside Erasmus MC.

Being able to present a certificate of good conduct is a condition for the appointment.

Terms of employment
The gross monthly salary is a maximum of € 9.895,- (scale 18), depending on your level of education and relevant experience and based on a full-time workweek. The terms of employment are in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement for University Medical Centers (CAO UMC).
