The Epidemiology Monitor -  February 2018

Editor's Note for February: This month we interview a UCONN investigator concerned about the impact of negative language on our social well-being and calling for epidemiologists to help develop an "epidemiology of toxic speech". We profile Patrick Sullivan, the new editor of the Annals of Epidemiology, and describe a pioneering effort by the UCLA School of Public Health to kickstart a major new data-sharing initiative by Schools of Public Health. You'll also find a sample of some of the limericks we have received in response to launching our new limerick contest last month. See if you can do better. And there's more about what's happening in the epidemiology community as seen through our Notes On People. In addition there are lots of new jobs as the new year has brought many opportunities. Read on and enjoy!
